When are they open??? I keep coming by at noon, they DEFINITELY aren't open then

Evenings upto like 11pm, there's generally a long line. They only accept cash and decide what you want before hand, the owner is not a very patient lady. Well the food's great... worth the wait

Six stars! Make sure you bring cash, it's cash only. Amount of food you get is well worth the price especially in SF where 鬼佬 jack up the price of rent and food. My favorite was the House Special Fried Noodles.

Pretty good Burmese joint, with minimal number of seating and menu items. While it's not the fanciest place in town, they definitely serve very tasty food (and at reasonable prices, to boot).

Tasty, super cheap. Very busy, with only a few seats at a “bar” style counter. Take out is a better option if you’re in a rush or if you have a group larger than two people. No reservations, cash only. Minimal decor and service (for example, no water, no napkins), but it’s cheap ($6.50 or less for dinner) and enjoyable. The menu includes a lot of noodle dishes.

This place is really cute! Very small, with about 8 seats at the counter. You can order in or for take out. Food is served fast and at very reasonable prices. Cash only! I got the spinach chili noodles.

The space is small and not a good place for big groups. It can only accommodate 7 people at a time. With that said, there will be a wait and it can be very informal, no sign up list. The wait is worthwhile since the food is delicious. Recommend the yamo house noodles. Basically most of the noodle dishes are pretty good. I don't recommend the fish noodle soup though.

I love Yamo so freaking much. Best tea salad! Mango chicken! Black bean fish! Chicken soup! Cold noodles! All amazing. Plus, Michelle is awesome. Definitely one of my top three places to eat in the city and I don't even mind that it is cash only. Not to mention all of the really awesome people that I have met over the years that also enjoy this secret not so secret gem.

Yamo is a great little spot where quick Burmese dishes are served at very affordable prices. Two entrees and two appetizers with tax runs about $22. Everything is extremely fresh and really tasty, and if you don't want to wait for one of the few counter seats, you can always get your food to go and eat at home or any of several nearby bars (I suggest Bender's)

Yamo is a delicious, mouthwatering and fun experience. With only 10 seats and two chefs, the place is intimate and cozy. Be sure to know your order before you’re in the doorway or face the wrath of the incredibly talented food artists behind the counter.

Definition of hole in the wall. Simple. Quick. Hassle-free. If you want a simple meal that is priced reasonably, this is the place for you! There are about 10ish seats available inside the restaurant but people hop in and out pretty quickly. The cooks cook in front of you and is served freshly promptly.

Gave these folks a chance despite Covid and the young lady with the RBF was upset that we ordered from "all over the menu". Really graceful/gracious. Definitely ordering from them again!

Very tasty food in a cute and tucked away restaurant. The prices are amazing and the owners have a lot of great personality. I can't wait to become a local here, but do know there are very few seats so you will likely have to wait. Make sure to try the house noodles, they are so yummy!

Cash only spot located in the mission. It’s probably one of the best places in terms of price and everything is for $6.50. But the food was okay. We chose the vegetarian and fish options. I like the black bean fish dish. The tea leaf salad was okay. Service level is meh. There’s a lot better Burmese food choices in the city but while this is the most affordable it is also at average good quality level.
